All You Need to Know About Tyre to Fuel Pyrolysis Plant

Considering the advancement done in science and technology in the last decade or so, recycling waste tyre into a resourceful product is surely one significant achievement human has endeavoured. The rubber tyre is in use for almost all mobile activities across the globe. Be it a car, two-wheeler, aeroplane, commercial vehicle, you name it and tyre would be present as a vital cog to the system. Beston Machinery has pyrolysis machines for sale to recycle waste tyres to oil effectively. It is also known as tyre to oil plant.

To extract commercially usable end products from waste tyre is a laudable feat. The process involves tyre pyrolysis plant. Pyro means heat and lysis means break down. It is a chemical reaction which involves breaking down large molecules into smaller ones in the presence of heat but in the absence of oxygen. If oxygen is present then tyres will start burning and the desired product will not be obtained.

There are two major end products that are obtained by tyre pyrolysis plant. One is Pyrolysis Oil which is extensively used in electricity generators as synthetic fuel. If 10000 tyres are used in tyre to fuel pyrolysis plant, it produces about 4500-6000 liters of pyrolysis oil. It comprises of about 45% of the end product generated. The pyrolysis oil from waste tyre is also used in other application such as industrial burners, industrial boilers, furnaces, hot water/air generators etc to name a few. It is also sold to oil refinery where it is possessed further. The second major end product is Carbon Black in the tyre to oil plant. It comprises about 30% of the end product. It mainly used in coal industry in substitute of coal.

Also, it finds its application in plastic industry as sometimes interiors of commercial vehicles contain carbon black. The third end product is Steel wire which comprises about 15%. The steel wire is directly sold to the Iron & steel industry. The leftover pyrolysis reaction is waste gas which is about 10%. It is recycled and in the pyrolysis machinery itself. It reduces the consumption of the external fuel required for heating the furnace.

As it is understood that pyrolysis of tyre significantly reduces the carbon footprint in our environment. Many advantages like both plastic and tyre can be used as raw material itself; also more than 90% of machinery used in pyrolysis is non-moving. So there is minimal maintenance cost involved once the tyre to oil plant is established. At the end of the process, there is clean emission means almost no polluted air is released to the environment making it a commercially viable project.
